This weekend is the final weekend for the 2011 Miss Dacula Pageant. Friday evening will be the Miss Junior Dacula pageant, and Saturday will be the Freshman & Sophomore pageant with the Grand Finale being at 6pm with the Miss Dacula pageant.
If you haven’t heard of the Miss Dacula pageant system, you are missing out on a wonderful system that affords the young ladies that participate more than just their one event. They have opportunities all year long to develop relationships with everybody from the pageant as they volunteer in the community. Many of the young ladies receive a Medal from the President’s council on community service after putting in many hours of volunteer service.

What a weekend. First off, congratulations to all the participants of the Miss Dacula Youth Pageant this weekend. What an amazing group of young ladies! It is always nice to see such a great group of girls with such great sportsmanship and spirit.
The pageant started on Friday evening and ran all day long on Saturday. I have just finished offloading the images from the cards and was surprised to see that I have well over 5000 images from the weekend! Now it’s time to edit and sort and get them uploaded to my website. With that said, it’s time for me to get busy.
